Habitat Homebuild Program

Tillamook County Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce that our 2019/20 Homebuild project is underway! This week we received our demo permit to take down the existing house where we will build two new construction homes in it’s place!
Together with volunteers, contractors, and community members like you we will build two 3 bedroom 2 bathroom attached town homes. We currently have one family selected and are accepting applications for one more! Click here to learn more about our homeownership program!
*Summer plans include the deconstruction of the existing home, hooking up water & sewer, moving power poles and pouring a foundation! Whoop Whoop!

This property is located at 2210 8th street in Central Tillamook and was generously donated by Wells Fargo after it sat vacant for nearly ten years. It was already zoned multi-family so we partitioned the lot in order to allow two families to own their own home.

Today Walker’s Contract Cutting took down a tree for us! Next step, moving power poles!

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Misty & David are looking forward to achieving their dreams of homeownership as one of the families selected for the two attached town-homes!

Ramps & Rails Program

Our Ramps & Rails Program serves seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans through in-home safety modifications that allow people to age in place. Since beginning this program in 2016, together we have been able to serve 21 individuals! This month alone volunteers and local contractors will help complete three projects including a full roof repair for a veteran!

A veteran was served this month in South County through a referral from Adventist Health’s Occupational Therapist. Thanks to our volunteer Chuck, this family now has a new wheelchair ramp to help with accessibility in and out of the home! .

A beautiful new fence was built around our most recent Habitat Home located at 902 Miller Ave. by local builder Stuart Symons and the Tillamook Church of the Nazarene Youth Group. LeeAnne and Julius are thankful that their kids now have a safe place to live and play!

Below is a picture of a roof that was repaired for a local veteran who was a risk of losing his home because of the condition of his roof. New tresses were built, plywood replaced and re-roofed thanks to Oswego Roofing!

A big thank you to the Home Depot Foundation for helping fund this roofing project for Max! Also contributing to this project was Malarkey Roofing, Rosenberg Builders Supply, Haltiner Heating & Sheet Metal, and Willie Wallace!

…And last (but for sure not least) a HUGE thank you to Brian Werner for donating his time to redo the sidewalk in from of our last Habitat Home and for Coastwide Ready Mix for donating materials!
